SoulSpeak Afrobeat

Tekrema's SoulSpeak AfroBeat Performance Series returns. The Burgundy Street location is under a beautiful renovation. We are celebrating with the return of our SoulSpeak AfroBeat Performance Series.

The first is Saturday, August 30th, at 6:00 PM. The event recognizes the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, while celebrating the Lower 9 Ward's resilience and future. The event will feature the brilliance of literary and visual artists in an artists' salon. The evening will end with the energy of DJ Live Well Sam!

There is a $10 Admission Fee.

All proceeds benefit Tekrema's Youth Dance Arts and Humanities Program.
