Born in Blackness - Born in LOVE

Born in Blackness - Born in LOVE, is the title under which my work has been developed and presented. My work addresses African and African Diaspora history and culture, specifically my culture—Louisiana's African American culture. I create from a historical lens, thoroughly researched and studied, and from a deeply personal perspective that is therefore fallible.

I will present five full-length works by Tekrema Dance Theatre. We have work to do, and we warmly invite you to be a part of it! We will explain more later. For now, join us in class.

Born in Blackness - Born in LOVE Choreography Intensive is Tekrema's next monthly intensive. The workshop will be held Saturday, November 1st at 10:30 AM at the Sanchez Multi-Service Center, 1616 Fats Domino Avenue.
